Trope Tuesday: Coming Soon...

   Hello, my fellow readers, today I have a special announcement.  One of my favorite parts of reading is connecting with others who also enjoy to read. This is why I'm really excited to announce not so much a new reading challenge but a new permanent segment on this blog. 

   I love tropes and analyzing all the many tropes a person who loves to read can find and how tropes can transform over time, as well as how different authors can interpret and bring all these different tropes to life. I myself, as I'm sure whoever is reading this blog have tropes they both love and dislike that can determine whether or not we enjoy certain books, but in many cases determine whether we even pick up books if there is even the slightest hint they contain certain tropes.

  For Trope Tuesday, I hope to choose a trope each month and hope to read anywhere from 3-5 books that contain the chosen trope. At the end of the month, I hope to share with you my fellow readers how I felt these authors explored the use of the said trope. 

  These tropes will not only include those of the romance genre such as some of my favorites like opposites attract, fake dating/relationship, and second chance romance, but those from the fantasy, science fiction, and mystery genres.    

  What are some of your favorite tropes from any of these genres or more, and why? What are some tropes that you dislike and why?

Hello, my fellow readers, somehow it's December. It's always interesting when coming up with monthly or seasonal TBRs because if I haven't said the words, I'm very much a mood reader, and different months or seasons throughout the year evoke different moods for reading. Tales of a Returning Historical Romance Reader

 Hello, my fellow readers, you know that feeling when you discover a new favorite book, author, or genre? I think the only better or could come as close as that is when you rediscover your love for one or all of those things. Recently, I have been rediscovering how much I love historical romance. Thanks to the power of read-a-thons and my monthly TBR games I have had the opportunity to reread some of the series that made me fall in love with historical romance in the first place, but I've also had the opportunity to discover some newly found favorites.  The series that I had an opportunity to reread was Sarah MacLean's Bareknuckle Bastards series.       If these gorgeous covers by themselves weren't enough to make anyone want to read these books, these books feature some of the most well-written, well-rounded female characters I've read in historical romance to date.
