January 2024 TBR

Hello, my fellow readers. We're so close to the new year. I'm excited about beginning the new year with many new and backlist books I've been meaning to read.

Starting with my monthly book challenge TBR. The prompts for this are:

New to Author: Dragonfall by L. R. Lim

Most recent purchase: Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare

The most recent book on your TBR: Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun Vol 19 by Aidalro

Continue/Finish a series: A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch by Sarah Hawley

Comfort read (a reread or a book by an author you loved): The Anatomist's Wife by Anna Lee Huber

Book set during your favorite season: TBD (To Be Determined)

For my TBR game, Shuffle:

Random Color on Cover (Green) Witcha Gonna Do? by Avery Flynn

Previous TBR pick: The Tiger's Daughter by K. Arsenault Rivera

Least read genre (Non-Fiction): To Be Determined

One Word Title: Dragonfall by L. R. Lim

Genre Wheel (Horror): Their Vicious Games by Joelle Wellington

Finally, for this month's trope for this month's Trope Tuesday will be retellings. I think I'm going to read specifically Beauty & The Beast retellings:

For the Wolf and For the Throne by Hannah Whitten (both rereads)

Curse of the Wolf King by Tessonja Odette

For the rest of this month, I can already tell it's gonna be part mood reading and part focusing on my goals for the new year. One of the ways I also plan on doing this is by participating in readathons that also have this mind, specifically TBRaThon created by Leandra the TBR zero. I highly recommend checking out the announcement video.

I'm also planning on participating in the next round of Once Upon a Readathon. I'm gonna be on Team Ice Princesses.

What's on your January TBR? Are you participating in any readathons? Let me know in the comments.
