November 2023 TBR

November TBR

It's hard to believe it's here, but November is upon us which means it's time for my November TBR.

I have two TBR games that help me get through my endless TBR. The first game is one I've named Shuffle. I use playing cards and assign general prompts to each suit's numbered cards, including 1 high-ranked card such as the King, Queen, Jack, Ace, and the Joker. I use the Joker as a wild card, if I choose to, I can replace a prompt that was picked with the prompt assigned to the Joker unless I'm not able to because if I don't complete the current month's TBR. I also have an additional part of my TBR game: for every 2 books read, I give myself 1 book credit for a future book purchase.

The books I have for this month for this TBR game are:
  • Heart of a Monster by Shain Rose
  • Franklin by Billie Lustig
  • Pawn's Gambit by Rob J. Hayes
  • The Princess and the Rogue by Kate Bateman
  • Love Me, Hate Me by Sonia Belier
The next TBR game is my Book Buying Ban Bingo Board. For this TBR game, I made a 5x5 bingo board on a spreadsheet and filled it with prompts. I would randomly choose from numbers 1-25 and for the first round choose 5 prompts for the month. Once I get bingo, I once again determine how many book credits I get from this bingo board. For this game, I have it where for every 5 books read, I get 1 book credit. For this TBR game, these are the books I will also be reading for the first round:
  • Change on the Fly by Maren Moore
  • Love Me, Hate Me by Sonia Belier
  • Whispers of You by Catherine Cowles
  • Roommate by Sarina Bowen
  • A Little Bit Wicked by Melissa Foster
I am very much a mood reader so I appreciate somewhat an appearance of structure when it comes to what I'm reading. That is also why I love readathons! Speaking of readathons, not too many, but I have quite a few I'm excited about this month. The first one I would like to mention is the Get a Clue readathon which by the name is based on the board game, Clue. This readathon was created by Rainy Blue Reads and the announcement video can be found on YouTube. This is for the entire month of November. I can't really plan my TBR for this readathon because it is a readathon where the participants won't know what the prompts are until they are announced. I'm super excited and I've chosen Team Professor Plum. If you're taking part in this readathon, let me know what team you've chosen.

The next read-a-thon I'm excited about is for The Final Book Support Group, November 3 to November 6th. Here are the prompts:

Poll Pick: For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten (reread)
Anticipated sequel: Fearless Heart by Brighton Walsh
Final book: The Princess and the Rogue by Kate Bateman
Fall Colours: Master of Crows by Grace Draven
Continuation station: Reckless Heart by Brighton Walsh
Graphic Novel/Manga/Novella- My Happy Marriage Vol. 4 by Akumi Agitogi

The last readathon I plan on taking part in for November is the Escape for 24 Hours readathon. This is hosted by Rylanne on their channel: Reading with Rylanne and Staijah on their channel: Readers Sea.
This month's prompts are:
  • Brown on the Cover: The Princess and the Rogue by Kate Bateman
  • Poll Pick: For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten
  • Favorite Genre/Trope: Fearless Heart by Brighton Walsh
  • A book you've been meaning to read: Pawn's Gambit by Rob J. Hayes
Overall, these are the books I hope to read in November and who knows maybe some more? What are some of your most anticipated books for November?
