The Hocus Pocus Book Tag

Hello my fellow readers, fall will be gone before we know it and I couldn't let my favorite season end before I completed a book tag I recently found based on one of, if not, my favorite film of all time particularly to watch around this time of year.

1.) What book would you consider to be a "sweet tooth"? (You can't get enough of this book)

I would say a book I read this year is, A Lot Like Adios by Alexis Daria. I found this book had pretty much everything I could ever want out of a romance novel and can't wait to see what she has next in store for this series.

2.) Name a series or standalone book that has magic, werewolves, and vampires

For this prompt, I'd have to go with Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices series which includes Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, and Clockwork Princess. You get all three of these and more in Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter world, but there is something truly special and if I may say spine-tingling about this series. The characters and the setting just draw you in and don't let go until the very last page of the series. I can say with absolute certainty I've read this series more than any other series in the Shadowhunter franchise. I really think Cassandra Clare should write more books in a historical/fantasy setting.

3.) Name a series or standalone book that has two sisters.

I'd have to go with For the Wolf and For the Throne by Hannah Whitten in the Wilderwood duology. I took a chance on this series and I thought it was such an imaginative story where it's kind of a love letter to the classic fairytale story and the story of two sisters and what they will do not only for each other but what they will do to in order to do what is right. I would also like to say Whitten really has a solid hold on how a slow-burn story is written.

4.) What is your favorite fictional character to dress up as for Halloween?

Honestly, whenever I dressed up for Halloween I was always a witch. Funny enough due to movies I watched during my childhood such as the one this tag is named after, Halloweentown, and Kiki's Delivery Service. With all these influences in my life, I wouldn't have wanted to be anything or anyone else on the one night of the year anyone can be who or whatever they want to be.

5.) Have you watched Hocus Pocus?

Well if being able to pretty much say also say or recognize every line from the movie counts, yes, yes I have watched this movie and love it.

6.) If you could have any famous cat, which one would it be?

I would have to go with Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service.

7.) Who is your favorite fictional warlock?

        Magnus Bane, no contest.

8.) Which author would you go Trick-Or-Treating with?

I would have to say V.E.Schwab because I think that would just be such a fun time.
